The Women’s Suffrage Celebration Coalition of Massachusetts, Inc. (WSCC) is dedicated to commemorating and celebrating the upcoming 100th anniversary of the adoption of the 19th Amendment, guaranteeing women the right to vote. The 19th Amendment was ratified in 1920 when Tennessee became the 36th state to ratify the amendment, reaching the required three-fourths of the states. The previous year, on June 25, 1919, Massachusetts ratified the amendment, the eighth state to do so. Our commemoration in Massachusetts will span 2019-2020.
The WSCC is planning a variety of commemoration events and activities to take place in Massachusetts through 2020.
